External continuous triggers on function generator will be triggered?

Answer

External triggering can be set to trigger on the rising edge or falling edge of the trigger signal. Function generator will finish outputting the previous cycle before looking for the next trigger event to trigger on. So, if your trigger signal has a lower frequency than your output signal the function generator will trigger on each trigger event. But if the trigger signal has a higher frequency than the output signal, your output signal will not be triggered on each trigger event.
