The 34411A Data Sheet uses a different definition of resolution than I am used to for other DMMs. The A-to-D Converter Noise Performance table on page 4 of the data sheet was used to derive the speed versus resolution table on page 5. In the noise performance table it shows 1.5 ppm of range resolution and equates this 0.0000015 x range resolution to 6.5 digits. From the table you can see that this corresponds to an NPLC setting of 0.06. At this NPLC setting you can get 1000 readings/sec.The required settings are:
