Notes/Equations
- This model is used adjust the instantaneous power of the transmitted signal according to the power control command translated from the TPCBit.
- The repeated TPCbit is combined to obtain the TPC command. The majority rule is applied when combining the repeated TPC bit. For example, TPCbit 111001 is translated as 1 to be the power increment indicator while 000011 is taken as 0 for power reduction.
- In some cases, such as when marco-diversity is used, power control bits from multiple sources are received. The combining rule is: power is increased only when all sources require power incrementally; otherwise, power will be reduced.
- The power control step is expressed in decibel. The initial gain is 1.
