  1. This subnetwork model is used to measure the spectrum emission for 3GPP FDD transmitter.
    The schematic for this subnetwork is shown in the following figure.

  2. Emission power is measured in the time domain using a root-raised cosine filter. Offset of the central frequency of the RRC filter measurement to the carrier frequency is set by the DeltaFreq parameter. If the offset is within four MHz, the passband bandwidth of RRC filter is 30 kHz; otherwise, the passband is set to 1 MHz.
    The main power is also measured.
  3. The spectrum emission mask is plotted using equation expressions in the Data Display window. The mask is different for different transmitted power.
  4. Use of this model is demonstrated in base station and user equipment transmitter examples: File > Example Project > WCDMA3G > WCDMA3G_BS_Tx_prj > BS_Tx_Spec_Emission.dsn and WCDMA3G_UE_Tx_prj > UE_Tx_SpecEmissions.dsn. Simulation results are provided in Data Display windows for these designs.
